It’s a scorcher out there (or it was when we were writing this). It looks like summer is officially here and now social restrictions are lightening up, it’s time to plan or put the final touches on your office summer party.
We’ve rounded up some of the best work summer party ideas we’ve found, from food to venues (with a few cakey treats in there for good measure). When it comes to entertainment, school sports day is a classic and requires minimal set-up. However, why not try something a little more classy. What about a fancy picnic and croquet? If you want a challenge then set up a treasure hunt for your summer party or if you’re keeping things online, try a virtual escape room.

Berry & Brie – Grazing tables and picnics

They create bespoke feasts that’ll put cucumber sandwiches and cocktail sausages to shame. Whilst sharing might be caring, in 2021 the best thing about social distancing is getting all the treats to yourself.

With locations all over the world, these guys will sort your work summer party wherever you are. Choose to keep things simple and manage events yourself or sit back and let the Wildgoose team look after everything. If you’re heading outside, why not try one of their treasure hunts for your summer party? If you’re keeping things virtual, the Around the World Challenge looks like great fun.
Headbox – securing your office party the perfect spot
These guys know how to host a party. Keeping things very 2021, they’re offering locations that are perfect for in-person and even hybrid work parties. From the Museum of London to the Natural History Museum and Kensington Palace – they have access to the best locations. Not only will they help you score a sweet location and get all the tech sorted for those joining online, but they can also theme, manage and deliver the entertainment. Think virtual cocktail parties where everyone has their kit delivered, dinner parties and pizza nights. They’ll even find a magician whose wifi won’t disappear.
MYO (make your own) – craft kits and workshops
Crafts aren’t just for earning your Brownie badges, they’re a great way to relax, unwind and let out your creative side. The team at MYO are champions of craft and host workshops virtually and at their London studio. If you’re joining them in person they offer BYOB and allow you to order food to the studio (don’t forget your CakeDrop). If you’re planning to keep things online they offer kits delivered to your door and can host your session. From lino printing to drawing to embroidery to brush lettering and more – it’s a great idea for a crafty work party.

What’s a party without cake?! You might have seen over on our Instagram that we’ve been creating bespoke hampers for lots of clients (check out our packing video below). These hampers include cocktails, sweet treats, company merchandise and anything else you can think of! Have your hampers delivered to your team’s front doors, or get them delivered to your venue for bougie picnic vibes.
Of course, we also have cakes… lots of cakes. You could set up a dessert grazing table with themed cupcakes, branded cookies and logo lollipops.
