Supporting UK Black Pride

For the second year running, for every Pride purchase your team makes, we will be donating money to UK Black Pride, Europe’s largest celebration for LGBTQI+ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American and Middle Eastern descent. 

It’s easy to just enjoy Pride for all its glitter and rainbow glory but we want to do something more. We feel it’s even more important in 2021 to support this community and be an ally to them against the continued intersecting injustices they face. This year’s UK Black Pride theme is aptly titled “Love and Rage”.

Our anger is righteous. Our love is righteous. Our 2021 theme claps back against the many ways we are told who we are allowed to be, and how to grieve, love and rage. We will not be quiet, we will not be meek. We will be heard, and we will be loud.

They will (hopefully) be hosting their in-person annual event from Friday, 2 July – Sunday, 4 July. They are looking for volunteers not only for this event but across the organisation, so if you are keen to get involved take a look at how you or your organisation can help.
